BRANDON OXENDINE'S BLOG

New Typefaces of 2010.

I can't guarantee I'll use all these often, but I am excited about having them. Most of them aren't necessarily new, but are classics that I've been wanting for a long time.

On the twelfth day of Christmas . . .

12 drummers drumming.

On the eleventh day of Christmas . . .

Eleven pipers piping.

On the tenth day of Christmas . . .

10 lords a-leaping.

On the ninth day of Christmas . . .

Nine ladies dancing. Definitely inspired by Keith Haring.

On the Eighth Day of Christmas . . .

Eight maids a-milking.

On the seventh day of Christmas . . .

Seven swans a-swimming. Here's a link to the original type I drew for this one.

On the sixth day of Christmas . . .

Six geese a-laying.

I got the idea for this typography from the logotype for the Interaction Design program at the School of Visual Arts. I really want to go there for graduate school.

On the fifth day of Christmas . . .

Five golden rings.

I decided to make this one a bit epic since this part of the song is sung with such gusto. Kind of like another record cover. (I only have a few tricks.)

On the fourth day of Christmas . . .

Four calling [colly] birds.
Thanks for the positive words on these.
